I've
broken out this section of the park because there is a dedicated
audience for it. Bugs Bunny World was created to provide
younger children rides and activities while the rest of the park
is the "land of screams and dreams." Most of the rides
are by Zamperla and are perfect for children too young for the
big thrills found in the rest of the park. However if you're in
Atlanta and only have very small children I'd recommend going
to American Adventures
for the day.
The Bugs Bunny World section of the
park used to be "Spain"
so Bugs
is a matador (just like the classic cartoon). In the main plaza
near the Looney Tunes fountain look for the bull trying to get
through the door and windows with shades that go up and down to
reveal Looney Tunes characters. Get your kids to go up to the
door with the chains on it to listen for the bull trying to break
free. On both side of the BBW entrance there used to be random
cannon blasts in the moat, but those (like the water) are gone.
And, if you simply must meet and greet Looney Tune characters in costume SFOG has designated the plaza in front of the Promenade gazebo as a reliable location for meeting them. Throughout the day look for appearances by Bugs, Daffy, Taz, Sylvester, Tweety, Foghorn Leghorn, and others (they change in the small house to the left of the Georgia Cyclone que house). Other than the show characters the gang stays out of BBW.
