A simplified map for planning your trip to Six Flags Over Georgia

My best recommendation is to wear a watch (clocks are few and hard to find - the best one is on an operations building clock tower behind the Crystal Pistol) and to make plans for meeting times with your group. Or get the Motorola Talkabout radios (our family swears by them). However, since most people need to either meet prior to entering the park or prior to leaving the park here are some popular landmarks.

Popular Meeting Spots:

Outside the park: the gate design makes the only convenient place to meet on the east plaza between the ticket sellers and Guest Relations/Will Call/Group Sales. (There is a restroom in this area, too.) If you park across from the Cyclone be sure to walk past the entrance turnstile gates to get to this area. Sorry but there aren't any benches to sit on outside the gates.

At opening, inside the park: at the end of the Promenade is a very large fountain backed by a large gazebo. The edge of this fountain is a popular meeting point. Other choices include the Guest Relations office entrance and Tondee's Tavern across from the Georgia Cyclone.

During the day: later in the day the Lost Parents cabin across from the Rabun Gap railroad makes a great meeting spot - lots of tables and shade in the area. Also, the other great places to "re-group" within the park are at the Riverview Carousel, in front of the Remember When Drive-In, at the Old Mill in the Lickskillet section near Splashwater Fall's entrance, and in the center of the Gotham City circus set. There is also a nice set of benches at the entrance of Superman.
