This
site's objective is to provide touring tips & hints to potential
guests of Six Flags Over Georgia. This is an "unofficial
site" in that it is an objective personal work without a
formal relationship with the park other than as a frequent guest.
The information contained within has been collected from personal
research, park documentation and other public sources. One thing
to understand is that I don't post rumors or conjectures about
what's in the future. For rumors of new attractions there are
plenty of sites available, and many are listed on the links page.
For a little background, this web site started in
1991 at the beginning of the internet revolution. People would
post a question about the park to one of the bulletin board services
or the USENET newsgroup rec.roller-coaster. As a fan of the park
I would respond with the information that I knew. For five years
my wife worked there, first in the Guest Relations office, then
support the Group Sales staff. Over the years I quickly built
up a data base of stock answers, and after visiting the park many
times began to realize there was a strategy to enjoying the park
completely with little time standing in line. I literally would
"cut and paste" the beginning text of this site that
has grown from there.
This page is written from the guest's perspective, trying to maximize the enjoyment and value of the experience visiting the park. I hope the information contained will allow you to plan your day. Again, the information contained within is based on my observations about the park - your experience may vary.
Thank you for visiting, and I truly hope you enjoy
your time and find the information useful. You can contact me
via e-mail [gamndbndr(at)mindspring.com] with any suggestions
for improvement or comments on what you think of this site, but
please don't write to me with questions about rumors for what's
coming next year, complaints that should go to guest relations,
contact information (like email addresses), and any other item
that should be answered directly by a park official. Again, I
am not an employee of Six Flags Over Georgia nor does the park
authorize or approve the content of this site. All information
contained herein is my responsibility, and I try my best to keep
it accurate and helpful to people planning on visiting one of
the best theme parks in the Southeast, if not the USA.
